Historic
Lewiston, New York and the Fashion Outlet Mall

Visit the Fashion Outlet Mall for a wide variety of shopping options. Discount
booklets will be provided, allowing even greater savings at the shops. Then
it’s off to Historic Lewiston – nestled along the Niagara River
where Niagara Falls began more than 12,000 years ago. Lunch will be served at
the new, exciting Water Street Landing overlooking the banks of the Niagara
River.
You will spend the afternoon in the Historic Village of Lewiston. Gift
boutiques, antique stores and one-of- a-kind finds are yours to discover.
Everything is located along the main street. Meet members of Lewiston’s
most established families, represented by costumed guides who will take you on
a fascinating 90-minute journey through time. Combining historical facts with
local tales and legends, they vividly recapture the past. You’ll discover
some of Lewiston’s best-kept secrets. You’ll learn about the Morgan
Affair, Tryon’s Folly and how the “cocktail” was invented.
You’ll hear how the Underground Railroad wound its way through Lewiston.
Stops along the way include Historic Plain Street, Lewiston Historic Museum,
Niagara County’s oldest public cemetery and an underground railroad site.
Niagara
Wine Trail

The Niagara Wine Trail has been growing each year, following the footsteps of
the many trails across New York State. Nestled between Lake Ontario and the
Niagara Escarpment, the region offers a unique microclimate suitable for the
production of world-class wines.
Your tour will begin with a visit to Vizcarra Vineyards at Becker Farms. Taste
some of their 20 different red, white and fruit wines, and sample their
homemade pies, jam and fudge. Then it’s off to the Lockport Canalside, an
1840 warehouse renovated to provide a casual yet elegant Canal Town atmosphere
for a delicious buffet lunch on the banks of the Erie Canal. Two more winery
visits follow featuring wine tastings, unique gift shops and gourmet cheeses
and chocolates.
Buffalo’s
Best – History, Architecture and the Olmsted Crescent

See the best works of architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright, H.H. Richardson,
Louis Sullivan and E.B. Green. The work of Frederick Law Olmsted, North
America’s greatest landscape architect and designer of the Niagara Falls
State Park and New York City’s Central Park will be prominently presented
as you view the elaborate parks and parkway network that he designed to ring
the central city.
Highlights of the tour include a visit to the Olmsted Crescent, which houses
the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo and Erie County Historical Museum,
Buffalo Zoo, Buffalo Museum of Science and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin
Martin House complex. Other sites included on tour are Delaware Park, Forest
Lawn Cemetery, Martin Luther King Park, Tri-Main Center, the Naval and
Servicemen’s Park, Wilcox Mansion - Theodore Roosevelt’s Inaugural
Site and Buffalo’s Theater District and waterfront. You will enjoy a
delicious luncheon at one of Buffalo’s fine restaurants.
